Knudsen Kilen supplied blocks for height increases for Skejbyen in northern Aarhus.
The building project commenced in 2018 and was completed in 2021, consisting of 570 flats totalling 51,000 m2. The project opted for both Knudsen Kilen’s K-Wall 28e and the Combi Max system.
K-Wall fittings make it easy to install doors and windows in most types of construction, while complying with the insulation requirements of BR18.
The Combi Max system is used to block up floors and creates a height increase of up to 313 mm, which provides ample space for the piping and installations that modern buildings must accommodate beneath the floors.
To ensure minimal step sounds between the floors, Knudsen Kilen’s hard step sound brick, Combi Sound Reducer Light, was used to comply with Sound Class C in applicable building regulations.
This ensured a healthier, more comfortable indoor environment for future residents.
